New South Wales Crows
Team
Country : Australia

The annual migration of the Crows has begun once more, with the 2009 Amec Cape Manila 10’s, standing as objective number 1. The team’s original roots lie in the country township of Wagga Wagga, however for this 10 day sojourn our roots will hopefully be found all over Southeast Asia.

The Crows are an invitational touring team who attract players from all over the place but were founded by the adventure hungry crowds at the Wagga Wagga Waratahs and the University of New South Wales Rugby Club. We are gradually developing an impressive historical story as we return to Asia for the fourth year in a row with our biggest touring party ever. This year we are
blessed to have not only a full regiment of competitive young and older guns but a support staff of water runners, physios and an official photographer. With this in mind we are back in Manila to give both the competition and city itself a shake. The team lays claim to the Kowloon 10’s Champions in 2006, runners up in 2007 and Plate Champions in 2008, but are yet to make a
significant mark on the Manila 10’s, this year we also ‘Vote for Change’.

Some of the lads returning for another dose of Manila are big Tom ‘Road Kill’ Ahearne, Dave ‘Anger Management’ Vella, John ‘Funky Feet Faz’ Farrell not to mention the tribe of Meggisons.
We warmly welcome all of the newcomers and hope that they enjoy the experience as much as we did the first time around.

On the whole the team is greatly looking forward to what will definitely be an exciting trip of rugby debauchery, as we leave the Philippine shores to once again revel in the Hong Kong 7s
and the week of rugby/madness that leads up to it. As for a little tip to anyone not in the know, the place to watch these boys is in the bar with steps, moves, and scoring still at the forefront of the teams training regime.

Black Feather
