CS Larrikins
Team

Fronting up for their ninth year, C/S Larrikins have changed platinum sponsors after a long and successful association with Leighton.  C/S ASIA PACIFIC, through long-time Larrikin supporter, Paul “Paffy” Paffet is now backing the team and the team will now be called the C/S Larrikins.  Paffy is the Regional Director for the C/S Group and his company specialises in manufacturing
and supply of construction materials.  Their website is www.c-sgroup.com.

The C/S Larrikins have again been nominated for the CUP and we will be going all out for victory.  Last year, we narrowly lost to Black Watch who went on to win the CUP & we are looking to improve from last year’s results.

Coach Phil Naughton and Captain David Clark will again be heading up the charge for the C/S Larrikins.  The composition of the team is mainly from the UAE and Hong Kong.  We are also looking to expand our Filipino contingent with Derek Ramsay and Kit Guerra already confirmed to join the C/S Larrikins for the third time.

In previous years, the C/S Larrikins have had Rory Underwood, David Campese, Nick Farr-Jones, John Bentley, Joel Stransky, Dan Crowley, Gavin Hastings, Elton Flatley, Matt Phillips and Justin Sampson don the now famous (infamous??) C/S Larrikins’ jersey.  So, in keeping with tradition, legends players who have been invited in 2009 are:

  • Joel Stransky (SA legend)
  • Matt Phillips (Kiwi who loves pasta) - confirmed
  • Dan Crowley (former two time Wallaby World Cup winner)
  • David Croft (former Wallaby and Queensland Reds legend)

Over the Tournament weekend, the Corporate Tent will again be in operation with the barbie cranked up with sausage sizzlers sizzling and amber and light refreshments flowing (Many thanks to Meian Martel in advance).

Special thanks go to our sponsors who are supporting the team on and off the park.  These are:

  • Platinum Sponsor: C/S Asia Pacific - Paul Paffett
  • Gold Sponsors:   Centria - Mark Gray
  • Tabla Middle East - Adam Savage
  • Silver Sponsors:   DLS - Alan Hearn
  • Pacific Strategies & Assessments - Graeme Campbell
  • EESS Steel Services • Amdy Mason
