Wagga Wagga Warratahs
Team
Country : Australia

The Wagga Wagga Waratahs are team of ruffians from country New South Wales who continue to keep the touring dream alive. The Waratahs have returned to South-east Asia after a successful trip to Hong Kong in March 2008 to make their debut at the Manila 10s.

The Waratahs are well known in the Riverina region for their tough rugby and didn’t disappoint last year, in their 50th Anniversary, with four out of the five premierships including the coveted 1st Grade trophy. Their form is equally as daunting off the field and will definitely be a driving force behind their rugby at this year’s tournament.

The team is headed up by the Manila 10s Veteran and ex-Kowloon and British Club Bangkok 2nd rower Paul Meggison, who has enlisted a young batch of pigs to experience the delights of Manila nightlife… uh I mean Manila Rugby.

This year the team has been well supported by the Wagga Ag College, usually a fierce rival in the local competition but joining forces to make the most of this rare trip abroad.

This brave bunch of party hunters are a little short on numbers this time around and are keen recruit any other punters who can fit the afore mentioned bill. Don’t be afraid but if you join the fray you will probably end up painting your pants. Let Meggo know!
