Since its inception in 1999, the Para Todu Rugby Club has played a key role in the continued development of the rugby scene on Guam. Para Todu, which in the local Chamorro language translated to “for all people,” holds at its core a dedicated group of players, families, and friends who have continued to push the club to new and exciting highs. A hallmark of the club is its continued emphasis on the development of young players who can go on to excel at rugby on the American collegiate level and represent Guam in international competitions. The club has also proven to be an excellent vehicle by which American football standouts can translate their intensity on the gridiron into fierceness on the pitch. The club is also proud to count among its members several players from the islands of the South Pacific who have helped shape the swagger and exciting style of play that has come to be associated with Para Todu Rugby.
This is the 3rd straight year that PTRC will be attending the Manila 10’s. Here is a recap of our previous years.
- 2007 – Went undefeated in Plate round on 1st day. Lost to Black Watch in Cup Knockout round.
- 2008 – Started out in cup round and got bumped down to Plate round only to lose to the Nomads in semifinals of Plate.
We are hoping to improve our performance this year by enlisting several Christian missionaries to chaperone boys on Burgos street.
We would like to thank our sponsors, Calvo Enterprises and Club Cars.
