The first QF for the Plate division saw the Flying Kukris (another of our military based teams) come through. The Kukris are comprised of British army units in Brunei, particularly the 2nd Battalion Royal Gurkha Rifles and 7 Flight Army Air Corps.
In the end the Kukris tighter team work and discipline saw them overcome a Stokes team from New Zealand who were defiantly trying to hold them out.
The tight nature of the game was seen in the 0 - 0 score at half time.
However, the Kukris were able to unleash their speed with some deft passing and support play to finally find the gaps to score twice.
