On behalf of the Board of Directors of Nomad Sports Club, I would like to welcome all the players and spectators to the 20th anniversary of the Manila 10’s Rugby Festival.

Since our humble beginnings in 1989 with only five social rugby teams competing over one day, the Manila10’s has grown to “The BEST Social Rugby Tournament in the World” with thirty-two teams competing over two days.

This year is indeed a special year for both Nomad Sports Club and the Manila 10’s Tournament as we celebrate our 20th anniversary.

The BOD of Nomads with all of our members would like to thank all of the players and spectators for once more supporting our tournament over the weekend.

Without our sponsors such an event would not be possible and we are delighted once more this year to welcome our lead sponsors AMEC - CAPE.

Throughout the year I have had the honour of representing Nomad Sports Club on the Manila 10’s organizing committee, where we meet as volunteers to ensure that the event will once again be a tremendous success for everyone involved.

This year we have had many developments not least the new air-conditioner our Chairman William “BILL” Bailey installed in his kitchen; on behalf of the organizing committee we all say thank you “BILL" Our committee comes from numerous countries and professions, so please take the time to read on pages 58 and 59 their bio-data and if you see them over the weekend refereeing, announcing or organizing please take the time to at least buy them a beer.

I would like to thank all the employees of Nomad Sports Club under the leadership of Malou in advance for all the extra hours they will work over this weekend to ensure the success of the 2009 Manila 10’s.

Finally I would like to thank RMD Kwik Form for the excellent workmanship in erecting the stands throughout the club to make the tournament indeed a World Class event.
